In the last few days, Donald Trump and other high-ranking members of the American government are suddenly denying the existence of the list, despite referring to it themselves months ago.
Everyone is outraged by the obvious lie, but anyone with a smidge of power to do something about it is condoning the story of «There never was a list» thus fuelling the feeling of powerlessness for the people in the face of shameless unpunished crimes.
